- And whoever at Commodore selected that diode didn't know what they were
- doing. First SCSI specifications suggest a current limiting device such
- as a fuse in series with the diode. Second this diode has a maximum forward
- current of 75 mA according to my data books. SCSI termination can draw up to
- 1 A. Third, the diode has a large forward voltage drop which lowers the
- termpower voltage too far. A correct diode would be a 1N5817 Schottky diode.

- P.S.: A friend's A3000 had a trace on his motherboard burned because of the
- fact that no current limiting device was installed
